Spring is in the air which means it’s time to chase Cherry blossoms! Why chase? Well, some areas bloom sooner than others so in order to enjoy the Cherry Blossom season longer, we have to go seek it. You might think that all the blossoms are Cherry Blossoms but have you ever thought that they might be Plum Blossoms?

Here are a few tips to differentiate whether you’re admiring a Cherry Blossom or Plum Blossom:
- We tend to want to smell the flowers we get right – well, if you find yourself surrounded by an aromatic floral scent, it’s likely a Plum Blossom.
- Cherry Blossoms are usually white and pink whereas Plum Blossoms can also be red.
- Plum Blossoms leaves range from red to purple generally whereas Cherry Blossoms will have green leaves. In addition, Plum Blossoms leaves will look more rolled whereas Cherry Blossoms leaves look more folded.
- If it’s still hard to tell the difference between the two blossoms, take a step back. Plum Blossoms generally have a round shape whereas Cherry Blossoms take on more of an umbrella shape.
Happy Spring everyone!
